Replacement o-ring restraints for BioSpec Mini-Beadbeater-16 and Mini-Beadbeater-24 laboratory bead mill homogenizers.

These replacement components help maintain proper vial retention and positioning during high-speed bead beating, tissue homogenization, and biological sample disruption procedures.

Routine replacement of worn o-ring restraints can help ensure consistent instrument operation and reliable sample processing performance.

Each package contains two replacement o-ring restraints.

    What is the O-ring used for?  Both the Mini-Beadbeater-16 and -24 use a rubber o-ring to restrain the shaking head of the machine, thus generating the high-energy shaking motion required for good cell disruption.  The rubber o-ring fatigues over time and eventually will break.  Typically, replacement will be required in months or years, depending on the amount of use of the machine.  The Mini-Beadbeater-16 and -24 are designed with the o-ring at the front for quick, easy replacement.  Two spare o-rings are included with each new machine.
